The John R. Hines, Jr. award recognizes undergraduate students who produces innovative projects, whose work advances the profession, whose work serves as a model or catalyst to developing research interests in other undergraduates, whose work increases the visibility of LaGrange College, and/or whose work benefits the greater community beyond LaGrange College. Submissions are divided into four categories based on the nature of the research: Basic Research; Applied Research; Religious, Historical, and Literary Analysis; and Performance and Creative Projects. A winner is announced in each category during the annual Honor's Day ceremony.
